Letter To men

Letter to Men
Dear Men,
This is coming to you at a time you least expect me to write to you especially with the present realities of our world. Our world has taken a new twist with the, Covid-19 is forcing us to have a rethink. Many of us are adjusting really well while some are still trying to grasp how our world quickly moved from being open to close. Now we are all indoors. How our weekends have moved from our favourite bar joints, league matches to having to enjoy and spend quality with our loved ones. I know not all of us are having a quality time. Some are having troublesome time with skyrocketing bills to meet up. I want to know that the world may never remain the same again.

The post Covid-19 era should prepare you dear men. What have you learnt from this lockdown. First, I need you to be STRATEGIC about the kind of friends you pick. There is a reason Otedola and Dangote are friends. The men who will easily bounce back after the Post Covid-19 period are those who decided to make be strategic with their choice of friends.  Get connected to men whose value system align with yours. Get connected to men whose vision are bigger than yours and who are making a huge effort in actualizing them You see that regular joint, hotel that you normally meet, some of your old friends may stop coming. Bills that has increased despite the lockdown with no money likely coming in may be a factor. When they fail to turn up, understand they are trying to sort themselves out. Move up that ladder by getting new friends strategically positioned to ease into the new era. I am not saying you look for people to use, no get people who can add value to you.

Very soon, we will all be like prisoners freed from their prison. There may be fewer jobs waiting. But be determined to get your hands dirty. Think as if there is no box. We are getting to a place where certificates no longer count. Think of solutions that you can provide. Be creative with ideas. That Camry 2009 model can become a mobile office/shop. The same car in the hands of one man as a luxury, is the same car in the hands of another as an office. The difference is in the value it adds. If you cannot add value to what you have, what you have should be add value to you.
Learn to be adaptable to situations, people, timing, resources and opportunity. Understand when a circumstance is propelling you to move forward. Don’t be stuck. When opportunities presents themselves before you, be swift to act if not it will pass to the next man. Learn to put your resources to good use. Learn investment, savings and enjoy the value of work for this too shall pass.
